As Maya Angelou so eloquently puts it, “I believe the single most important thing, beyond discipline and creativity is daring to dare.” (my emphasis). When I received the notification from WDNB that my story of a little girl diagnosed with JIA was chosen for a year-long mentorship, I immediately thought of younger me and felt in my stomach a warm comfort that this was meant to be, or rather the timing of it all was on time, and Little A could see this is how a miracle is birthed. Nothing glamorous but rather quiet and teary-eyed with a soft pat on the back for a job well done and a keep going. Keep going, keep going for it all.
